Candidate handbook (English and Spanish versions)
The National Certification Examination Candidate Handbook provides all the information applicants need – instructions, eligibility requirements, fees, sample questions, forms and more. It is available in both English and Spanish.
NCBTMB's exams have been translated into Spanish, but Spanish-speaking applicants should contact their state board to determine if the exams are approved for use in their state.

Examen de Certificación Nacional Manual del candidato
Los exámenes del NCBTMB han sido traducidos al español, pero los solicitantes que tengan la lengua materna deberán ponerse en contacto con el consejo estatal para determinar si dichos exámenes están aprobados en su estado. También está disponible un Manual del Candidato en español.

Exam Facts
■ Each exam is divided into six basic areas.
■ Each exam consists of 160 multiple-choice questions.
■ Four choices are provided for each multiplechoice question. Only one choice is the correct answer.
■ You will have two hours and forty minutes to complete the exam.
■ A computer scores the exam as either pass or fail.
■ You will receive notification of having either passed or failed the exam as soon as you have completed it.
