Origin- proximal lateral surface of the tibia and interosseous membrane
Insertion - medial cuneiform and base of the first metatarsal
Movement - inverts the foot, dorsiflexs the ankle
Joint - talocrural
Peroneus tertius pg 370 (not always present)
Origin - attaches, along with peroneus brevis
Insertion-at the tuberosity of the fifth metatarsal
Movement - everts the foot
Joint - metatarsal
