Insertion- tibial tuberosity
Movement - extend the knee
Joint - tibiofemoral
Nerve - femoral

Insertion- iliotibial tract  
Movement - flex the hip, medially rotate the hip, abduct the hip
Joint - coxal

Insertion- Intertrochanteric crest, between the greater and lesser trochanters
Movement - Laterally rotate the hip

- anterior surface of the sacrum
Insertion- greater trochanter
Movement - Laterally rotate the hip, abduct the hip when the hip is flexed

Origin - coccyx, edge of sacrum, posterior iliac crest, sacrotuberous and sacroiliac ligaments
Insertion-  gluteal tubersoity (upper fibers) and iiotibial tract (lower fibers)
Movement - extend the hip, laterally rotate the hip, abduct the hip
lower fibers adduct the hip

- gluteal surface of the ilium between the anterior and inferior gluteal lines
Insertion- anterior border of greater trochanter
Movement - abduct the hip, medially rotate the hip, flex the hip
