Origin - anterior surface of sacrum
Insertion- greater trochanter
Movement - laterally rotate, abduct the hip when the hip is flexed
Joint - coxal
Nerve - branch of sacral plexus

Origin- ischial tuberosity
Insertion- proximal, medial shaft of the tibia at pes anserinus tendon
Movement - flex the knee, medially rotate the flexed knee
Joint - tibiofemoral
Movemnet - extend , medialy rotate the hip
Joint - coxal
Tilts the pelvis posteriorly
Nerve - tibial

Insertion- posterior aspect of medial condyle of tibia
Movement - flex , medially rotate the flexed knee
Joint - tibiofemoral
Movemnet - extend, medially rotate the hip

Origin- long head ischial tuberosity, short head lateral lip of linea aspera
Insertion - head of the fibula
Movement - flex the knee, laterally rotate the flexed knee

Movement - extend, lateraly rotate the hip
Joint - coxal
Tilts the pelvis posteriorly
Nerve - tibial and peroneal

Gluteus minimus pg 310
Origin- gluteal serace of the ilium between the anterior and inferior gluteal lines
Insertion- anterior border of greater trochanter
Movement - abduct, medially rotate , flex the hip
Joint - coxal
Nerve - superior gluteal
